Blue Ridge Helicopter Tours was founded right here in Blue Ridge, Georgia in the fall of 2020. We started this company because we wanted to improve tourism in our beautiful city, show people a side of Georgia they hadn’t seen before, and provide fun and adventure for all. Helicopter tours are an unforgettable experience, especially in the Blue Ridge Mountains!

A helicopter tour over the Blue Ridge area is perfect for all sorts of occasions, to include: anniversaries, birthdays, personal achievements, dates, and other celebrations; or to simply satisfy a zest for adventure and exploration. Whatever the ambition, we have the perfect tour for you – an enjoyable thrill that you’ll never forget! Tours can be combined for a more dynamic experience and custom tours are also available. A minimum of 2 passengers is required for booking and we can accommodate up to 3 passengers.

Either book at brheli.net or phone us at (706) 946-1010. A reservation in advance is the best way to ensure that you will be served upon arrival. (You may book any tour in order to secure your place on the schedule, then change your tour upon arrival.) However, we accept walk-ins as well. In light of our cancellation policy, a credit card is required when making a reservation in advance. (Please see “What is your cancellation policy?” in this FAQ.) We take payment only after the tour is completed. (Please see “How do I pay for my tour?” in this FAQ.) There is a two-passenger minimum per flight, unless a lone passenger is willing to pay for two.

Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled  tour time. This will allow time for a pre-flight safety briefing and  for you to get settled into the aircraft.

We accept cash or all major credit cards, debit cards, PayPal and Apple Pay.

No. When you book on our Website or over the phone, we don’t charge your card (and its information is encrypted for security purposes). We take payment only after the tour is completed. (Please see “How do I pay for my tour?” in this FAQ.)

The passengers and the pilot must have a combined weight of less than 760 lb. There is a maximum weight per passenger of 300 lb. Our helicopter can accommodate up to three passengers, subject to the aforementioned weight limitations. A child under the age of two goes for free(!), provided the child can sit on an adult passenger’s lap.

The best way to explore our tours in advance is to visit brheli.net, where you will find a route map, photos and videos. You will also find there a written description of the various points of interest that you will see during each tour. You may also phone us at (706) 946-1010, or drop by our office at 1010 Appalachian Highway, Blue Ridge, Georgia 30513. (Appalachian Hwy is also known as “U.S. Route 76” and “State Route 515.”) We are located on the east side of the road, just south of Mason Tractor.

Yes! A camera with a wide-angle lens is best. Smartphones work too. A camera strap is also a good idea, although not necessary.

In this case, we will gladly reschedule your flight. Note that a cancellation by us for any reason, such as unsuitable weather, will result in no charge to your credit card.

During the off-season, Mid November through the 15th of April, we are open 11:00 – 6:00 Saturday and Sunday. Monday through Friday is by appointment. During the on-season, our hours are 10:00-6:00 Monday through Thursday, and 10:00-7:00 Friday through Sunday. Both schedules require Ideal Weather Conditions for both the safety and enjoyment of tours. Closely observe the 10-day forecast on your favorite weather app. Look for Sunshine, minimal and/or high cloud cover, low winds, and a low percent chance of rain. These conditions will help ensure safety and an enjoyable experience on your tour.

No. We have taken up passengers as young as three months old and as senior as 93 years old.

Light clothing is always adequate, as our helicopter has good cabin heat. During the warm months, air vents keep the occupants cool, due to the cooler air at altitude.

Yes. The helicopter has an intercom system and everyone wears a headset that includes a microphone.

We are usually able to change your tour after you arrive at our facility, should you decide that you prefer an alternative route.

Please cancel or reschedule at least 2 days before the date and time of your scheduled tour. Simply use the links sent to your phone and email when you booked the tour (best method) and we will be notified immediately. If the links don’t work, you may also write us at info@brheli.net or call us at (706) 946-1010. We reserve the right to exercise our cancellation policy.

There is no charge if a reservation is canceled at least 24 hours in advance. However, a cancellation within 24 hours of your scheduled tour time or a no-show will result in a charge to your credit card of 30% of the cost of the tour based on two persons per tour. Of course, a cancellation by us for any reason, such as adverse weather, will result in no charge to your credit card.

It is very safe! Our aircraft are cared for and inspected daily and receive a full in-depth inspection by our maintenance staff every 100 flight hours. All of our pilots are certified by the FAA for commercial operations. All of our pilots and mechanics are subject to a rigorous FAA/DOT drug test program.

While not required, our pilots are very appreciative of tips.
Yes. All passengers must sign a liability waiver (do not bold). For a passenger under 18 years of age, an adult or legal guardian must sign.

We ask for credit card information only to verify that you are a real person and not a Web robot. Your card will not be charged and you may use a different form of payment when it comes time to pay, which will be after the tour is completed.

Please note that a cancellation within 24 hours of your scheduled tour time or a no-show will result in a charge to your credit card of 30% of the cost of the tour based on two persons per tour. Of course, cancellations by us for any reason, such as unsuitable weather or limited load capacity at the time of the tour will result in no charge to your credit card.
